August began with a trip into the Alberta rockies to witness Marlen and Sue get hitched. The boys went white-water rafting, the girls relaxed at the spa. The scenery was beautiful, weather was great, people were tons of fun and the Alberta beef tasted perfect! Congrats Marlen and Sue, it was a wedding to remember!!
We made a short trip to Lake Louise the day after the wedding along with Harvie's parents and aunt from Holland.
Our summer weekends together were often spent with family or friends. From BBQs/picnics at the lake, to sailing, to some competitive bocce ball matches. Sherry even managed to swallow half a water melon and fit in with her friends!
It's time to start wondering who the baby will resemble more! I guess looking at our baby pictures will help us know what to possibly expect.

YOu guys look alike as babies anyways, so it's safe to say he will look like both of you. Can't wait for the phone call!! Tell Harvie he looks real good as a cowboy, I love that hat.
We'll be praying for action on the little one's part! You look great, Jackie. Perfect round belly sticking out in front. So cute. I think we're in trouble if the baby's not a blondie... you guys were both adorable in your toddler pictures.
Looks like you had a lot of fun at the wedding. Nice hair Jackie and nice hat Harvie:) You will both be such wonderful parents and we can't wait to meet Blonde Baby Buitelaar! What a cutie he/she will be!

Such cute baby pics. I can totally tell Jackie is Jackie but I couldn't totally tell toddler Harvie was the tall Harvie we now see. Love the baby blog by the way...fantastic way of keeping friends and fam in the loop.
